Terms of Service
Welcome to Resonance Books. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of resonancebooks.com and any purchase you make from us. "We", "us" and "our" mean Resonance Books, Block 21 Bukit Batok Crescent #24-84, Singapore 658065. By using this website or placing an order you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Shipping Policy, which form part of these Terms.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least the age of majority where you live to buy from us. You agree that the information you give us when ordering is accurate and complete, and you are responsible for keeping any account credentials secure.
2. Products
We sell printed books and downloadable PDF guides. We do our best to describe every title accurately; cover designs, page counts and edition details may vary slightly from the images shown, and publishers occasionally change them without notice. We may discontinue a product or limit order quantities at any time.
3. Orders and acceptance
Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we send your order confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order at our discretion, for example where a price or stock error has occurred or fraud is suspected; if we do, we will notify you and refund any payment taken. Because printed books are dispatched quickly and digital guides are delivered instantly, we may not be able to accommodate cancellation requests after an order is accepted.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in the currency selected at checkout and may change without notice; the price charged is the price displayed when you place your order. Shipping is free on all orders. Prices exclude any import duties or taxes charged by your country, which are your responsibility. Payment is taken at the time of ordering through Shopify's secure checkout.
5. Shipping
We ship worldwide. Delivery estimates are given in good faith and are not guaranteed; we are not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs or events beyond our control. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.
6. Returns and refunds
Printed books may be returned within 30 days in accordance with our Refund Policy. Digital guides are non-refundable once delivered, except where the file is faulty. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your country that cannot be excluded by contract.
7. Digital guides — licence
When you buy a PDF guide we grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to download and read it for your own use. You may print a copy for yourself. You may not resell, share, upload, or distribute the file or its contents.
8. Intellectual property
The content of this website — text, images, design, product photography and our own guides — belongs to Resonance Books or its licensors. Book titles, covers and author names belong to their respective publishers and authors and are shown to identify the products offered for sale. You may not reproduce or use our content without written permission.
9. Acceptable use
You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not attempt to interfere with its operation, gain unauthorised access, scrape data, or use it to transmit unlawful, misleading or harmful material.
10. Third-party links and tools
The website may link to or use third-party services (for example, order tracking). We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties and you use them at your own risk.
11. Relationship with Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify. Your purchase is made with Resonance Books, not Shopify, and Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of the sale or the products.
12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Except as expressly stated, the website and products are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or products, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Errors
Occasionally information on the website may contain typographical errors or inaccuracies, including in pricing. We reserve the right to correct them and to cancel affected orders.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the revised version here. The Terms in force when you place an order apply to that order.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
